pbxnsip and Sangoma Netborder Express
Sangoma talks to pbxnsip
pbxnsip software is now compatible with Sangoma NetBorder Express.

Sangoma hardware is engineered for compatibility and is software agnostic, however previous to the latest development Sangoma cards did NOT offer pure SIP connectivity and therefore conflicted with pbxnsip. Through the latest development Sangoma have developed a SIP translation interface to converse with its cards opening the doors for pbxnsip compatibility. Several successful deployments prove pbxnsip and Sangoma work together.

pbxnsip CS410 and CS425 - cool as a cucumber
As cool as a cucumber!
A cucumber is green and so too is the CS410 and CS425. Using only 5 watts of electricity, it makes this small appliance a cool choice for business!

The new CS410 and CS425 has up-sized it's RAM capacity to 1 GB. The analogue communications servers run a full version of pbxnsip and really do make a for a smart all-in-one small appliance based IP PBX.

The system offers features found on advanced systems such as agent groups, conference rooms and all of the features of our PC based platform. The power requirement of the CS410 is 5 watts which is a significant savings over a PC with a 350 watt power supply. There are no moving parts in the appliance. The integrated FXO ports can be paired with SIP trunks and offer backup. Inbound calls can come in over the PSTN trunks and outbound international calls over the SIP trunk.

Easy 'Know How'

Questions you are too afraid to ask!
Learn some Easy 'Know How'

What is UDP?
UDP (User Datagram Protocol) is a communications protocol that offers a limited amount of service when messages are exchanged between computers in a network that uses the Internet Protocol (IP). UDP is an alternative to the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and, together with IP, is sometimes referred to as UDP/IP.

What is RTP?
The Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) is an Internet protocol standard that specifies a way for programs to manage the real-time transmission of multimedia data over network services. In other words the voice part of Voice over IP.

What is an Agent Group?
An agent group can also be called an ACD. It is a type of account that allows calls to be placed in a queue. The queue has agents assigned to the queue and those agents can log in or out of the queue. Customers who are in the queue will be played music as well up to 10 different recordings.

What is the Outbound Proxy on a trunk for?
An outbound proxy is the setting that tells the PBX where to communicate to for this call. This can be an IP Address or a domain name. Should the Outbound Proxy be set, it will restrict inbound calls coming in from the declared destination only, this can increase security of your PBX.
Technical 'Know How'

Some technical questions

CS410 start up - 'Know How' -
Upon initialization you will see the Power and Run lights on solid green and the LAN connection amber if it is plugged in. The run light will change to flashing green once the system is up and running. By default the WAN port is programmed to be IP Address 192.168.1.99. The LAN port will get it's IP Address from your DCHP server which is normally the router.

CS410 Hang Up Detection - 'Know How' -
FXO Analogue detection is different in most countries. We have added some changes to the pbx to detect when an FXO line is not active but still connected. In these cases the PBX will drop the call.

CS410 max extensions- 'Know How' -
The CS410 comes in 2 versions, CS410 and CS425. Each has 10 and 25 extensions. The processing power of the appliance will not cope with any more extensions than 25. It does not support G729 calls to the gateway or call recording. Such processing is far too high for our cool 5 watt appliance.

CS410 - cool as a cucumber - 'Know How'

The snom 820 VoIP phone is the beginning of a new business phone series from snom. It is like the prelude of a new masterpiece in VoIP technology. In this series we want to merge two of the main requirements of modern telephony in one device: mature VoIP technology and design in a class of its own.

With its large high-resolution TFT colour display (3.5, 320 x 240 pixels) the snom 820 offers a brilliant depiction of call lists, phone directories, and caller information via the integrated XML browser.

The wideband technology used in the handset captures more than double of the spectrum of voice frequencies that by standard phones. This means the audio quality can be compared to FM radio.
