What is UDP?
UDP (User Datagram Protocol) is a communications protocol that offers a limited amount of service when messages are exchanged between computers in a network that uses the Internet Protocol (IP). UDP is an alternative to the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and, together with IP, is sometimes referred to as UDP/IP.
What is RTP?
The Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) is an Internet protocol standard that specifies a way for programs to manage the real-time transmission of multimedia data over network services. In other words the voice part of Voice over IP.
What is an Agent Group?
An agent group can also be called an ACD. It is a type of account that allows calls to be placed in a queue. The queue has agents assigned to the queue and those agents can log in or out of the queue. Customers who are in the queue will be played music as well up to 10 different recordings.
What is the Outbound Proxy on a trunk for?
An outbound proxy is the setting that tells the PBX where to communicate to for this call. This can be an IP Address or a domain name. Should the Outbound Proxy be set, it will restrict inbound calls coming in from the declared destination only, this can increase security of your PBX.

CS410 start up - 'Know How' -
Upon initialization you will see the Power and Run lights on solid green and the LAN connection amber if it is plugged in. The run light will change to flashing green once the system is up and running. By default the WAN port is programmed to be IP Address 192.168.1.99. The LAN port will get it's IP Address from your DCHP server which is normally the router.
CS410 Hang Up Detection - 'Know How' -
FXO Analogue detection is different in most countries. We have added some changes to the pbx to detect when an FXO line is not active but still connected. In these cases the PBX will drop the call.
CS410 max extensions- 'Know How' -
The CS410 comes in 2 versions, CS410 and CS425. Each has 10 and 25 extensions. The processing power of the appliance will not cope with any more extensions than 25. It does not support G729 calls to the gateway or call recording. Such processing is far too high for our cool 5 watt appliance.
CS410 - cool as a cucumber - 'Know How'
A cucumber is green and so too is the CS410 and CS425. With only 5 watts of electricity it saves power costs.
CS410 - Use it without FXO - 'Know How'
With the cost of the CS410 and CS425 is so low you don't have to use the FXO ports. With an all in one appliance at 5 watts of electricity, you will save on hardware and power consumption from day 1.
