Learn some Easy 'Know How'

What is a Dial Plan?
A dial plan is designed to route calls if they don't exist on the PBX. The routing logic within pbxnsip is to see if the number dialled is held locally within the domain, if it is, call that number. If the number dialled is not held within the domain, the PBX will send the call to the Dial Plan associated with the account. Here the dial plan is used to match certain routing criteria configured by the administrator.
A dial plan can be easy or complex, it all depends how you need to configure your call routing on the PBX.
What is a DDI?
A telephone number that allows external callers into the PBX to dial directly to the required extension without going through a switchboard operator
What is the Privacy Settings on a trunk?
The trunk may or may not register. Besides this, the ITSP or gateway which receives the information may need the Caller-ID of the calling party to be passed to it. This is does via the privacy indication setting. Try each setting until you find the right one.

Technical 'Know How'
Some questions Service Flags
Service Flags- 'Know How' -
Service Flags act as a very powerful routing engine within the PBX. A service flag is simply a switch, just like a light it is either on or off. We like to use the term Set or Clear, but the theme means the same.
If the flag is set then the PBX simply uses a different account or IVR.
Manual or Time Based - 'Know How' -
A service flag can be configured to be manually set or time based.
If it is manually set, then be sure to grant access to the extensions who may dial the service flag and toggle it on or off.
Time based service flags will kick in when during the times outside of the declared times. For example if you stated 9:00 - 13:00 this means that any time before 9am the flag is set and any time after 1pm the flag is set.
Set Holidays with a Service Flag- 'Know How' -
You can set whole days in a service flag, simply use the days field within the time based setting. For example 12/25 will render the service flag as set for the 25th December.
Use it again and again - 'Know How'
A service flag can be used anywhere in the PBX. Once created you assign the flag to an account, this means you could set an Office Time flag and use it in Auto Attendants, Hunt Groups, Agent Groups or even for you Cell phone forking.
