pbxnsip announce interoperability success with VegaStream's New Europa Gateway at Convergence Summit North

Much anticipated new product launched at premier channel event in the UK

LEEDS, UK March 16, 2009 - pbxnsip, a leader in SIP-based IP PBX software for Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux environments, today strengthened their partnership with VegaStream, the award winning leading developer of reliable, cost effective VOIP gateways, in the shape of interoperability success with VegaStream's latest in technology advancements, which incorporate an ADSL modem and an Open Applications Server. These new platforms can be upgraded to take full advantage of these applications with the benefit of reducing the deployment costs of VOIP services.

The Open Applications Server has been designed so it can host pbxnsip IP PBX software. Capable of supporting Linux and Windows applications it has a number of advantages over a distributed solution including reduced costs and quicker installation time.

"Since the VegaStream Europa Gateway was released it has quickly become the 'de facto' choice for channel partners and Service Providers for connecting customers to VOIP services" said Steve Davis, VP Sales & Marketing at VegaStream. "The introduction of these new developments will further enhance our position as the market leader for VOIP gateways. We have had a lot of very positive feedback from our customers and applications providers".

Jonathan Greenwood, CEO of pbxnsip, a leading provider of SIP-based PBX communication systems, commented "I was delighted that the integration of the pbxnsip system worked so well with the Open Application Server built into the Europa gateway. This gives a far better solution for channel partners as it reduces costs and makes it far easier to install".

pbxnsip and VegaStream will be launching the new Europa gateway at the Convergence Summit North in Manchester later this month.
